Cecily Moreton Other Executive Coaches
Cecily Moreton Consultant Psychologist and Executive Coach B.A., Dip.Ed., B.Th., B.Ed (Counselling), MAPS, COCP, AACC
- Recognised as a leader in the field, I am a practitioner drawing on high level experience as a counselling psychologist, performance psychologist, educator, manager, and executive coach.
- I love to help people discover their potential, gain the personal and management skills they need, and clear away the obstacles in their lives to be able to commit to new paths.
- Executive Coaching brings together my experience as a psychologist, trainer and manager, Buddhist meditator and my research interest in Coaching for Leadership.
- I have worked with a wide variety of individuals and groups, ranging from staff and students in schools and universities, to professional and business managers, entrepreneurs, and Vietnam Veterans. Executive Coaching draws on my skills working with life skills education, family systems therapy, anxiety conditions, career counselling, high performers (athletes and performing artists), training and supervising staff, managing organisations, writing business plans and developing businesses.
- As many of my counselling clients were executives seeking one to one leadership development, I founded and established LifeCoach Pty Ltd in 1998. Over the next three years I systematised the coaching process to an efficient 12 session coaching protocol and selected over 20 skilled professionals for coach training. I sold out of the company to devote more time to executive coaching and research into how executive coaching develops leadership.
- I provide executive coaching services to organisations, supervising the coaches I have trained, and coaching executive staff myself.
- I have coached staff from Quicken, Oracle, Westpac, Lend Lease, Andersen Consulting, DMR Consulting Group, VodaFone, Department of Education & Training, Department of Defense, StateRail, Beyond Productions, ButterFly Consulting, WorldSchool, NRMA, Zurich, Freedom Furniture, Stanwell Corporation and University Co-op Bookshop Ltd.
- At the 2000 Spirituality Leadership and Management (SlaM) Conference I presented my Conscious Leadership Model of Executive Coaching developed to facilitate personal transformation in addition to achievement of management goals. As a result several CEOs have invited me to work with their staff.
- Active research presentations such as at Spirituality, Leadership and Management Conference 2001 show that people perceived as good leaders, good spiritual directors, and good teachers share qualities used by psychologists to describe psychologically healthy people.
- I am currently enrolled in a PhD on Executive Coaching for Spiritual Leadership. We know coaching gets results, but we don't know how. This research involves analysing a full cycle of 12 Conscious Leadership Coaching sessions with groups of managers in two companies, with a view to explaining how the coaching relationship develops leadership qualities.
- I really enjoy my work as an Executive Coach because I am passionate about bringing out the best in people and developing leadership potential. I love learning and teaching about human behaviour, life skills, relationships, loving, meaning, consciousness, power of the mind, emotional intelligence, ideas, putting ideas into practice, creating better communication and power flow in family and work systems, business and business development. And I love celebrating successes.
