Developing Leadership through Relationship

A person may be perceived as a good manager, but they will be perceived as a good leader if they also have the capacity for "real relating" with their staff. It is easier to meet the bottom line goals when there is good will and healthy adult relating. The quality of the relationship depends on the parties levels of insight and empathy i.e. consciousness.

The coach can only take another person to the depth they have reached themselves. First a methodology was developed that efficiently and reliably produces measurable results. Then a group of people with proven high-level human behaviour expertise was selected and trained in the Conscious Leadership Methodology. We are all committed to the journey of practicing what we preach, of developing skills and consciousness. We teach life-skills, management skills, family and organisational systems and leadership roles. And the caring in-depth relationship provides the crucible for gaining insight through reflective feedback.

It is the quality of the relationship with the leader that most influences the followers to make shifts in their lives, and it is the quality if the relationship with the executive coach with most facilitates leadership qualities. In addition to management knowledge and skills, leadership is about quality relationships, good judgment and personal presence and authority. In other words in each coaching contract, agreed upon goals will be achieved plus substantial insight and understanding will develop. Managers learn how to exercise leadership through learning to coach their staff.
